Everyone at WIL was deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Anne Langille, our Executive Director, on January 4, 2014. We are comforted by the knowledge that Anne passed quickly and peacefully at her London residence.

Anne was passionate about her work, her community and the well-being of others - especially those new to Canada. She was a pillar of strength and believed strongly in the mission of our organization and the clients we serve. Her leadership, compassion and ready humour were an inspiration to us all. As an organization, we will pay tribute to Anne by building upon her many achievements and continuing to excel in everything we do.

Visitation will be held in London on Monday, January 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. The memorial service will be conducted at St. John the Evangelist Church, 280 St. James St. at Wellington on Tuesday, January 14 at 2 p.m. Cremation followed by private internment at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Foundation Western, WIL Employment Connections (Anne Langille Memorial Fund) or St. John the Evangelist Church (Meal Program) would be gratefully acknowledged.

Our talented staff are well supported by our Board of Directors during this difficult time. As Anne would have wanted, all day-to-day activities at WIL continue to operate as usual. We appreciate the many emails, phone calls and notes of condolence that we have received. She will be missed and fondly remembered by us all.
